Smith & Collins is a business partnership between Denis Smith and Sam Collins. The creative duo seek compelling ways to tell authentic stories with their cameras. Denis and Sam consider their clients to be part of an extended ‘family’, sharing one main value above all others: absolute pride in what they do – being 100% committed to delivering high quality products and positive, memorable experiences.
The design brief was to create a business brand to help promote their business values – quality, classic, expertly crafted, authentic, finely tuned, fun, passionate, and creative! Combining these ideas with their own personalities, a clean simple traditional logo was formed. A variety of brand uses including video credit screens, image watermarks, business stationery and packaging were considered throughout the design process.
A new website was also designed to coincide with the announcement and launch of their new partnership. I worked closely alongside Denis and Sam throughout the website development, guiding them and incorporating their ideas along the way. We needed a header image for their new website and Facebook page, and I felt something darkly lit with Denis and Sam together but subtly highlighted could work. Combining my idea with the genius of Denis's lighting abilities we created something pretty special that complimented the new brand overall.
